WHEREAS, Big Brother Big Sister of Greater Pittsburgh believes in the ability of every child to succeed and thrive in life, and works to achieve this goal through their mentoring network, that creates strong, enduring, and professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships; and
WHEREAS, on January 9th, BBBS held their Bowl for Kid's Sake Kickoff, the largest national fundraiser, and also honored individuals and organizations for their commitment to the mission of BBBS; and
WHEREAS, Kara Olson, Young Professional Outreach Board Member of the Year is a former Little Sister, turned active Big Sister for several years, and one of the highest Bowl for Kid's Sake fundraisers last year; and
WHEREAS, Randy Maradayat, BIG Recruitment Board Member of the Year Big Brother, is a big in two programs, and spearheaded BBBS' Art All Night involvement; and
WHEREAS, Chaz Kellem, Youth Outcomes Advisory Board Member of the Year, serves on the Youth Outcomes Advisory Board, and is an active volunteer, contributing in many ways to bigs and littles over the years; and
WHEREAS, Justin Dandoy, Washington County Advisory Board Member of the Year, is an active Big Brother and Washington County Board member; and
WHEREAS, Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project, the Community Based Partner of the Year, selected BBBS as their charity for Kickball for a Cause, and raised an impressive $5,000 for BBBS; and
WHEREAS, Reading is Fundamental, the Site Based Partner of the Year, provides thousands of books to Littles over the years through their Be A Middle School Mentor program; and
WHEREAS, PNC PREP (PNC Recognizing Emerging Professionals), is the top recruiter of Bigs through PNC PREP, and is an instrumental volunteer; and
