Resolution authorizing the Mayor, the Director of Public Works, and the Director of Finance, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into permanent easements with the Pennsylvania American Water Company (PAWC) for the installation, maintenance, repair, operation, and removal of a water line on city-owned property at the end of Minooka Street (Lots 60-A-189, 60-A-193, and 60-A-244).

WHEREAS, the City is the owner in fee simple of certain parcels of real property located in the 29th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, being identified as Block and Lot No. 0060-A-00189-0000-00; No. 0060-A-00193-0000-00; & No. 0060-A-00244-0000-00 in the Allegheny County Department of Real Estate ("Property");
WHEREAS, PAWC ("Grantee") operates a water system in the City of Pittsburgh;
WHEREAS, PAWC seeks a new location on the Property in order to install a new water line to connect with PAWC's pipe system; and
WHEREAS, PAWC desires a non-exclusive right of way and easement upon, over, under, along, across, and through the Property for the purposes of installing, maintaining, repairing, operating, and abandoning in place a water line, as particularly shown in the attached exhibits; and
WHEREAS, the City is willing to provide permanent easements to PAWC to install, maintain, repair, operate, and finally remove a water line upon, over, under, along, across, and through certain portions of the aforementioned parcels, as particularly shown in the exhibits attached hereto.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1.
