Resolution authorizing the Mayor, the Director of Public Works, and the Director of Finance, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into a permanent easement with the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) for the installation, maintenance, repair, operation, and removal of a sewer line on city-owned property (Parcel ID 82-H-00001-02) at no cost to the City.

WHEREAS, the City is the owner in fee simple of that certain parcel of real property located in the 11th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, being known as 101 Reservoir Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206, being identified as Block and Lot No. 0082-H-00001-0000-02 in the Allegheny County Department of Real Estate, having acquired said property by City Treasurer’s Deed recorded on September 20, 1966 (”Property”);

 

WHEREAS, PWSA operates a water and sewer system in the City of Pittsburgh;

 

WHEREAS, PWSA seeks a new location on the Property in order to install a new sewer line to connect with PWSA’s sewer system; and

 

WHEREAS, PWSA desires a non-exclusive right of way and easement over, upon and through the Property for the purposes of installing, maintaining, repairing, operating, and abandoning in place a sewer line, as particularly shown in Exhibit A; and

 

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor, the Director of Public Works, and the Director of Finance, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to enter into a permanent easement with PWSA for the installation, maintenance, repair, operation, and removal of a sewer line on city-owned property (Parcel ID 0082-H-00001-0000-02) at no cost to the City.

 

The Easement and Easement Area are depicted on the drawings that are attached hereto as Exhibit A.
