WHEREAS, each year, the Arlington Civic Council recognizes outstanding volunteers, who make a difference, in their community; and
WHEREAS, the Nolla Family is this year's Family of the Year honoree, for their loyal service and commitment to the Arlington Neighborhood; the Arlington Civic Council; South Side Baseball; St. Clair AA Senior Citizens; 16th Ward Block Watch and the Epilepsy Foundation; and
WHEREAS, the Nolla Family: Jeananne and Butch, their children Richard and Sandra, grandchildren Nicole, Anthony and Chelsea and great-grandchildren Gabriel, Maximus and Taliyah; is always willing to help anyone in anyway they can; and
WHEREAS, Jeananne and Butch are life-long residents of Arlington and the entire family are regular participants at many Arlington Civic Council and neighborhood events; and
WHEREAS, the Nolla Family sets an example of volunteerism for all members of the community, no matter how young or how old; and
WHEREAS, in addition to their volunteer time, the Nollas also, enjoy spending time together, as a family;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh, does, hereby, recognize and commend the Nolla Family for their dedication and service to the Arlington Neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does, hereby, proclaim Monday, June 01, 2009, to be Nolla Family Day in the City of Pittsburgh.
