WHEREAS, Allderdice High School, the largest of the Pittsburgh Public School's urban high schools, has drawn students from nine diverse communities and offers academic programs at all levels, complimented by a full range of interscholastic, intramural and co-curricular clubs; and,
WHEREAS, Allderdice High School has a history of pride and commitment in its sports endeavors and achievements but the Allderdice Football Team hadn't won a City League Championship since 1967, in spite of this year's senior class appearance in 3 of the last 4 Championships and qualifying for the City League Championship six of the last ten years; and,
WHEREAS, through skilled and dedicated coaching and through individual commitment, hard work and team loyalty, the Allderdice Football Team posted key wins against Brashear, UPrep and Dubois and the Playoff win against Westinghouse High School. The team had an overall record of 7-4, Conference of 4-1; and,
WHEREAS, the team, led by Head Coach Jerry Haslett and Assistant Coaches Jay Slosky, Dennis Robinson, Brad Hoffer, Mario Watkins, Mark Matson and Will Graham, consisted of players Elijah Parks, Brandon Mauder, Quinn Gethers, Dijon Hall, Sean Upshur, Malik Marmon, Latrell Childs, Issiah Hudson, JiJuan Matthews, Seity Freeman, Jeffrey Martin, Jr., Tyrell Minnifield, Justin Morris, Rashawn Harvey, Elijah Bruce, Nazir Darwin, Ramon White, Chris Dotson, Bryce Miller, Paris Glenn, Solomon Johnston, Daquan Hill, Dain Williams, Azi Humber, Raquan Caldwell, Andrew Williams, Curtis Bradley, Keyshawn Hodge, Gein Williamson, Steven Henderson, Dauren Gatewood, Steve Jemison, Michael Hill, Rhumaud Brooks, Dalen Dugger, Sean Michael Morris, Clarence Lowry, James Allen Jackson, Maurice Boatwright, Latrell Knight, Kenny Hardin, Shane McKown, Justin Salmon, and Seric Frazier; and,
