WHEREAS, on Thursday December 4, 2003 the Calabria Club is hosting a dinner at the Georgetown Inn, Grandview Avenue, Mt. Washington, Pittsburgh, PA; and

WHEREAS, the dinner honors distinguished guests from the Province of Cosenza, Italy; and

WHEREAS, first to be honored is Antonio Acri, President of the Province of Cosenza; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Acri is accompanying Doctors Umberto Iaquinto, Alberto Lacamera, Domenico Mazza and Antonio Pizzi from the hospital in San Giovanni in Fiore, Cosenza; and

WHEREAS, since arriving in Pittsburgh on November 29, 2003, these Doctors have been visiting, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), and the West Penn Hospital learning various medical procedures to be used when they return to San Giovanni, Italy.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh Welcomes these Distinguished visitors from the province of Cosenza Italy to our fair City.
