Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Safety to execute relevant agreements to receive grant funding from the Pittsburgh Three Rivers Marathon, Inc. (“P3R”) to assist the City of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police with re-establishing the mounted unit. This resolution further provides for an agreement and expenditures not to exceed FIVE THOUSAND ($5,000.00) dollars for this stated purpose as it relates to the grant funding for the project.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Safety of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to execute relevant agreements with P3R in order to receive a grant award of FIVE THOUSAND ($5,000.00) dollars for the purpose of supporting the mounted police unit. Monies from the grant agreement shall be deposited into the Mounted Police Trust Fund account 2300244900.48311.00.
Section 2. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Safety of the City of Pittsburgh are further authorized to enter into an Agreement, or Contract, or utilize existing Agreements or Contracts and not to exceed FIVE THOUSAND ($5,000.00) dollars for the purpose of supporting a mounted police unit under the terms of the agreement between the City and P3R chargeable to and payable from the Mounted Police Trust Fund account 2300244900.56151.00.
