Title

Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, and the Director of the Department of Finance, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into an easement or easements and any amendments thereto in order to provide access and passage for the traveling public around the Brereton Street construction site, at no cost to the city.

 

Body

WHEREAS, a portion of Brereton Street in the City of Pittsburgh is currently closed due to severe infrastructure damage arising from a landslide in the area; and

 

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh previously entered into easements to provide public access around construction and repair occurring at that location, pursuant to a declaration of disaster emergency; and

 

WHEREAS, the City wishes to further extend the duration of these easements as repairs are continuing at the Brereton Street landslide site; and

 

WHEREAS, the City now seeks authorization to extend these easements pursuant to a resolution of City Council.

 

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, and the Director of the Department of Finance, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to enter into an easement or easements and any amendments thereto over parcels denoted as Lot and Block Numbers 25-P-78, 25-P-84, and 25-P-85 by the Allegheny County Recorder of Deeds in order to provide access and passage for the traveling public around the Brereton Street construction site.
