WHEREAS, the 600 classmates from the graduating classes of Taylor Allderdice High School, January 1958, June 1958 and January 1959 will gather to celebrate their 50th Class Reunion on August 30, 2008; and
WHEREAS, the 600 classmates now represent citizens of diverse backgrounds, professions, occupations, and interests; and
WHEREAS, alumni, associates and spouses will commit funds to support the interests of Pittsburgh Taylor Allderdice; and
WHEREAS, classmates will gather to remember the fond and everlasting memories and good feelings that they experienced and cherished over these years, and
WHEREAS, they stand in support of their City, their school, teachers and friends which provided them with many opportunities in life; and
WHEREAS, mostly these alumni remember friends, teachers and classmates who have passed away but were an important part of their life.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh commends and thanks the 600 classmates from the graduating classes from Taylor Allderdice High School, January 1958, June 1958 and January 1959, for their years of commitment and enthusiasm to the City of Pittsburgh; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby declares August 30, 2008, "Taylor Allderdice High School 50th Reunion Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
