Resolution to create a Slope Remediation Taskforce that will create a strategy to remediate slope failures.
Body
WHEREAS, a Slope Remediation TaskForce will be created in order to identify all known issues, prioritize the issues, seek appropriate funding and any additional tasks as identified by the Mayor, Council or the Taskforce.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. Creating a Slope Remediation TaskForce no later than April 13, 2018. The TaskForce will consist of:
(a) 2 Representatives from DOMI, at least one being an engineer
(b) 2 Representatives from DPW, at least one in construction
(c) 1 Representative from the Finance Department
(d) 1 Representative from Council Budget Office
(e) 1 Representative from Controller’s Office
(f) 2 Representatives appointed by the majority of City Council
(g) 1 Representative from the Law Department
(h) 2 Representatives appointed by Mayor Peduto
Section 2. The Slope Remediation Taskforce will meet to:
(a) Identify all known slope issues
(b) Prioritize a list of the known issues
(c) Create a strategy to remediate slope failures
(d) Seek appropriate funding for the strategies created
(e) Any additional Tasks that the Mayor, Council, or TaskForce finds.
