Title: WHEREAS, Frank Difiore has spent a 35-year career with the Pittsburgh Public Schools; and WHEREAS, Mr. Difiore was first a successful math teacher and then spent much additional time as a successful administrator, including 16 years at Perry Traditional Academy; and WHEREAS, Mr. Difiore is known as a mild-mannered, organized, fair-minded and pleasant administrator who positively influences all the students; and WHEREAS, Mr. Difiore has planned his retirement to begin at the end of this school year; and WHEREAS, everyone in the Pittsburgh Public Schools will greatly miss Mr. Difiore and wish him a wonderful life as he "graduates" from Perry Traditional Academy;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh, does hereby commend and congratulate Frank Difiore on his 35 years of service to the Pittsburgh Public Schools, and wishes him well in his retirement, and declares June 13, 2008, to be Assistant Principal Frank Difiore Day in the City of Pittsburgh.
