Title: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, May 15th, 2012, to be Pat's Lunch Day in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, founded in 1981 by Patricia Deloe, a hard-working woman with an entrepreneurial spirit who renamed the ominously titled lunch shop "Terminal Lunch" after herself, Pat's Lunch has been a destination lunch stop for workers on East Carson Street for over 30 years; and,
 
WHEREAS, after Patricia Deloe passed away in 2007, her daughter, Patti Lewis, took over Pat's Lunch and has managed it ever since, continuing its well-known reputation for excellent lunchtime fare in the Riverwalk Coporate Centre; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Riverwalk management team of Mark Bibro and Dan and Joe Lackner, as well as Chris Baker who heads up maintenance for Pat's Lunch, have been incredibly supportive of the restaurant and aided its success over the years; and,
 
WHEREAS, Pat's Lunch offers a variety of specialties each week, offering breakfast from 6:30 AM and serving potluck style lunch on Mondays, Pasta on Tuesdays, Steak & Cheese on Wednesdays, Pork & Burgers on Thursdays and Fish on Fridays; and,
 
WHEREAS, registering at seven and a half feet wide and one hundred feet long, Pat's Lunch makes good on its claim to be the longest and skinniest restaurant on the East Coast, and a great lunch time destination as well; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, May 15th, 2012, to be Pat's Lunch Day in the City of Pittsburgh.
