WHEREAS, the Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections issues licenses to general contractors; and

WHEREAS, general contractors are now required to have RRP training to renew their license with the City of Pittsburgh; and

WHEREAS, on March 21, 2022, the Office of Management and Budget, on behalf of the Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections, released a Request for Proposals to assist City with providing RRP training for the general contractors; and

WHEREAS, Women for a Healthy Environment has been selected with respect to providing the registration of each training course provided by the RRP training vendors Zach Academy and Professional Training Associates, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, Women for a Healthy Environment will collect a $55 fee from each registered general contractor to provide to the City of Pittsburgh towards the total cost of the training courses; and

WHEREAS, in addition to the collected fees from contractors, Women for a Healthy Environment will pay City $45,000 to assist in the cost of RRP courses for general contractors; and

WHEREAS, the City shall pass separate legislation to authorize the execution of agreements with the training vendors Zach Academy and Professional Training Associates, Inc.
