Resolution Amending Resolution No. 153, effective March 14, 2003, entitled "Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of General Services to enter into agreement(s) and/or Real Estate agreement(s) for the purchase of property located in the 19th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh at 1915 Broadway Avenue, and providing for the costs thereof. Cost not to exceed $325,000.00," by increasing the project allocation by $75,000.00 from $325,000.00 to $400,000.00 and by changing the authorizing Department from the Department of General Services to the Department of Parks & Recreation.

Be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 1 of Resolution No. 153, effective March 14, 2003, which presently reads as follows:
"The Mayor and the Director of the Department of General Services, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into agreement(s) and/or Real Estate agreement(s) of sale with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, in a form approved by the City Solicitor, for the purchase of property located in the 19th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh at 1915 Broadway Avenue, formerly known as St. Catherine of Siena Parish School Building, in an amount not to exceed $325,000.00, plus closing costs and other associated auxiliary costs as may be stipulated in said agreement, chargeable to and payable from the following accounts:

is hereby amended to read as follows:
The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation are hereby authorized to enter into a Lease Agreement or Agreements with Bernardo Katz for certain property located at 1615-1619 Broadway Avenue, a portion of which will be renovated to include a Senior Center (the "leased premises"). Upon completion of the Senior Center portion of the property and delivery of possession to the City, the City will pay an annual rental/utility fee of $54,880 for the leased premises. After execution of the Lease Agreement, the City will contribute an amount not to exceed $400,000 for capital improvements to the renovation project according to terms set forth in the Lease Agreement. The Lease Agreement shall be for an initial term of ten years after the City takes possession of the leased premises. The Lease Agreement shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form and substance.
