WHEREAS, the Northside Leadership Conference is a coalition of fourteen Northside neighborhoods and other community stakeholders, serving the entire North Side, which covers 20% of the city - the largest service area of any community development corporation (CDC) in the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Northside Leadership Conference is committed to addressing mutual concerns of Northside neighborhoods through a united approach in order to promote and enhance the vitality, quality of life, and image of Pittsburgh’s Northside, making it the largest and most comprehensive CDC in Pittsburgh; and,
WHEREAS, on, June 15th, 2017, at The Priory’s Grand Hall, the community will gather for the 34th Annual Northside Leadership Conference Awards Dinner, to honor the 2017 award recipients:
Neighborhood and Business Awards: for residents and community leaders who have accomplished neighbor-hood economic and residential development and many volunteer hours of service to each of their communities:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby recognizes and honors the 2017 awardees and extends gratitude to each individual and organization for making the North Side a great place to live, work, and play; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council acknowledges the efforts that the NSLC has achieved through collaboration within the community and corporate organizations and hereby declares June 2017 to be “Northside Leadership Conference and Awardees Month” in the City of Pittsburgh.
