Resolution vacating portions of Stadium Circle Drive and the old overhead Pedestrian Walkway in the 22nd Ward, 6th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, it appears by petition and affidavit on the file in the Office of the City Clerk that all Owners of the property fronting or abutting on the southerly and northerly line of Stadium Circle Drive (40' width) for a distance north of West General Robinson Street (Parcel 3) in the 22nd Ward, 6th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh, have petitioned the Council of the City of Pittsburgh to enact a resolution for the vacation of the same, and

 

WHEREAS, it appears by petition and affidavit on the file in the Office of the City Clerk that all Owners of the property fronting or abutting on the easterly and westerly line of Stadium Circle Drive (40' width) for a distance south of West General Robinson Street (Parcel 4) in the 22nd Ward, 6th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh, have petitioned the Council of the City of Pittsburgh to enact a resolution for the vacation of the same, and

 

WHEREAS, it appears by petition and affidavit on the file in the Office of the City Clerk that all Owners of the property fronting or abutting on the southerly and northerly line of Stadium Circle Drive (40' width) for a distance south of West General Robinson Street (Parcel 5) in the 22nd Ward, 6th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh, have petitioned the Council of the City of Pittsburgh to enact a resolution for the vacation of the same, and

WHEREAS, it appears by petition and affidavit on the file in the Office of the City Clerk that all Owners of the property fronting or abutting on the southerly and northerly line of Overhead Pedestrian Walkway (42' width) for a distance south of West General Robinson Street (Parcel 7) in the 22nd Ward, 6th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh, have petitioned the Council of the City of Pittsburgh to enact a resolution for the vacation of the same, and

 

WHEREAS, said petition contains inter-alia, an indemnification of the City from any claims and from the payment of any damages whatsoever resulting to any properties owned by the petitioners or by any persons whatsoever, abutting or non-abutting, for or by reason of said vacation: therefore

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Parcel 3

 

Section 3.                     That vacating a portion of Stadium Circle Drive, beginning at a point on the northerly legal right-of-way line of West General Robinson Street.   Coordinate N 105052.3775, E 96664.7859 of said point being 40.00 feet left of West General Robinson Street Survey & R/W Centerline, Station 397+34.46 feet; thence

 

along southerly R/W line of Stadium Circle Drive by a line curving to the left having a radius of 423.25 feet, an Arc distance of 706.32  feet  to a point of tangency, the chord of said line being North 79°29' 47" West a distance of 627.17 feet;  thence

 

along said R/W line by a line curving to the left having a radius of 332.56 feet, an Arc distance 104.38 feet to a point,  the chord of said line being South 46°42'14" West a distance of 103.95 feet;  thence

 

by a line crossing Stadium Circle Drive to the northerly R/W line of Stadium Circle Drive, North 52°17'16"West for a distance of 40.00 feet;   thence

 

by a line along said R/W line curving to the right having a radius of 372.56 feet, an Arc distance of 116.94 feet to a point  of tangency, the chord of said line being North 46°42'14" East a distance of 116.46 feet;  thence

 

by a line along said R/W line curving to the right having a radius of 463.25 feet, an Arc distance of 762.92 feet to a point  of tangency, the chord of said line being South 77°07'29" East a distance of 679.58 feet;  thence

 

by a line along said R/W line curving to the left having a radius of 49.00 feet, an Arc distance of 24.08 feet to a point on the northerly R/W line of West General Robinson Street,  the chord of said line being South 44°01'22" East a distance of 23.84 feet; thence

 

by a line along southerly R/W line of West General Robinson Street South 76°49'59"West for a distance of 47.94 feet to the point of beginning.

along southerly R/W line of West General Robinson Street by a line North 76°49'59" East a distance of 54.51 feet;  thence

 

along the easterly R/W line of Stadium Circle Drive by a line curving to the left having a radius of 49.00 feet, an Arc distance 36.81 feet to a point of tangency,  the chord of said line being South 08°22'22" West a distance of 35.95 feet;  thence

 

by a line along said R/W line curving to the right having a radius of 463.25 feet, an Arc distance of 265.80 feet to a point of tangency, the chord of said line being South 03°17'30" West a distance of 262.17 feet;  thence

Utilities in this area are remove or abandoned, no easements are necessary, in the 22nd Ward, 6th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh.
