Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of Finance to enter into an agreement or agreements with Merante Contracting Incorporated to provide access to City of Pittsburgh-owned parcels 26-E-301, 26-E-302, 26-E-303, 26-E-304, and 26-E-305 to support the replacement and rehabilitation of portions of the existing retaining wall supporting Ruthven Street above the Pittsburgh Regional Transit Martin Luther King Busway and to replace various sewer infrastructure in the vicinity, at no cost to the City.

WHEREAS, the City (“the Grantor”) is the owner in fee simple of that certain parcel of real property located in the 6th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, being identified as Parcel Tax ID 26-E-301.
WHEREAS, the City (“the Grantor”) is the owner in fee simple of that certain parcel of real property located in the 6th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, being identified as Parcel Tax ID 26-E-302.
WHEREAS, the City (“the Grantor”) is the owner in fee simple of that certain parcel of real property located in the 6th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, being identified as Parcel Tax ID 26-E-303.
WHEREAS, the City (“the Grantor”) is the owner in fee simple of that certain parcel of real property located in the 6th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, being identified as Parcel Tax ID 26-E-304.
WHEREAS, the City (“the Grantor”) is the owner in fee simple of that certain parcel of real property located in the 6th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, being identified as Parcel Tax ID 26-E-305.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of Finance, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to enter into an agreement or agreements with Merante Contracting Incorporated to provide access to City of Pittsburgh-owned parcels 26-E-301, 26-E-302, 26-E-303, 26-E-304, and 26-E-305 to support the replacement and rehabilitation of portions of the existing retaining wall supporting Ruthven Street above the Pittsburgh Regional Transit Martin Luther King Busway and to replace various sewer infrastructure in the vicinity, at no cost to the City.
The construction drawings are depicted on Exhibit A that is attached hereto.
Section 2. The agreement or agreements shall be subject to the City Solicitor’s approval as to form.
