Title

Resolution providing for the conveyance by the City of Pittsburgh to Frank J. Valenta and Grandview Commons, LP, certain property in the 19th Ward, under Act No. 171 of 1984, entitled, "Second Class City Treasurer Sale and Collection Act", effective December 11, 1984.

 

Body

WHEREAS: The City of Pittsburgh owns certain property at 109 Shaler Street, Block 6-G, Lot 67 in the 19th Ward.

 

WHEREAS: The City of Pittsburgh can only convey marketable title to both adjacent property owners.

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.  The City of Pittsburgh ("City") is hereby authorized, through its appropriate officers and officials, to execute such documents and deed in form approved by the City Solicitor, and take all steps legally required to convey the following described property having been placed for sale by offering said property to adjoining property owners and the cost of the Court proceedings to be paid from Special Trust Fund, Three Taxing Bodies.  Said sale being made under Act No. 171 of 1984, entitled, "Second Class City Treasurer Sale and Collection Act", effective December 11, 1984.

Description of Lot 'A'

 

ALL THAT CERTAIN LOT OR PIECE OF GROUND situated in the 19th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, County of Allegheny and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, being part of Lot 97 in the unrecorded Clarence Shaler Plan Lots bounded and described as follows:

 

BEGINNING at a point on the Southern side of Grandview Avenue at the dividing line between Lot 97 and 98 in the Clarence Shaler Plan of Lots; thence South 35º37' West a distance of 90.0 feet to a point at the TRUE PLACE OF BEGINNING; thence continuing along said dividing line South 35º37' West a distance of 10.0 feet to a point; thence North 54º23' West a distance of 40.0 feet to the Eastern line of Shaler Street; thence North 35º37' East a distance of 10.0 feet to a point; thence South 54º23' East a distance of 40.0 feet to a point at the TRUE PLACE OF BEGINNING. BEGINNING at a point on the Southern side of Grandview Avenue at the dividing  line between Lot 97 and 98 in the Clarence Shaler Plan of Lots; thence South 35º37' West a distance of 90.0 feet to a point at the TRUE PLACE OF BEGINNING; thence South 54º23' East across lots 98 and 99 in said Plan a distance of 80.0 feet to a point on the dividing line between Lots 99 and 100 in said Plan; thence along said dividing line south 35º37' West a distance of 10.0 feet to point; thence North 54º23' West across Lots 99 and 98 a distance of 80.0 feet to a point on the dividing line between Lots 97 and 98; thence North 35º37' East along said dividing line 10.0 feet to point at the TRUE PLACE OF BEGGINNING.
