Title
Resolution authorizing the City of Pittsburgh to accept certain property in the 22nd Ward from Alcoa Properties, Inc. to be dedicated for right-of-way corner rounding of Children's Way at no cost to the City of Pittsburgh.
Body
Whereas the City of Pittsburgh requires certain property for corner rounding of Children's Way, formerly the corner of West Ohio Street and Allegheny Square West; and
Whereas the Pittsburgh Children's Museum has revised their subdivision which is recorded in Plan Book Volume 242, pages 150 and 151 which dedicates the required land for right-of-way corner rounding; and
Whereas Alcoa Properties, Inc. owner of land designated as Block 8-C, Lot No. 128 has agreed to dedicate that portion of land required for this corner rounding and is a participant in the above mentioned revised subdivision plan.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor, the Director of the Department of Finance and the Director of the Department of Public Works, are hereby authorized to accept this land dedicated for corner rounding of Children's Way at no cost to the City of Pittsburgh according to the following description:
BEGINNING at a point of intersection of Children's Way, formerly Allegheny Square West, 60 feet wide, and Children's Way, formerly West Ohio Street, now 40 feet wide; thence South 14º02'39'' East a distance of 9.96 feet to a point; thence by an arc curving to the left for an arc distance of 27.21 feet having a radius of 35.37 feet to a point on Children's Way, 40 feet wide; thence North 76º03'37'' East a distance of 24.58 feet to a point at the PLACE OF BEGINNING. Containing 76.33 square feet of area.
Section 2. This said dedication shall become a permanent part of Children's Way as previously indicated in the Pittsburgh Children's Museum Revised Plan of lots recorded in Plan Book Volume 242, pages 150 and 151.
Also that said conveyance shall be subject to the following terms and conditions:
A. All state and local transfer taxes, if any, will be paid by the Pittsburgh Children's Museum.
B. All proper closing charges shall be paid by the Pittsburgh Children's Museum.
