Resolution further amending Resolution No. 180, effective April 23, 2009 entitled "Resolution authorizing a Cooperation Agreement or Agreements with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh in connection with URA's application for a Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grant of up to $250,000 for the Steamfitters Local 449 Training Facility project" by increasing the amount of the grant to $750,000. (Council District 2)

Whereas, by Resolution No. 180, effective April 23, 2009, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh authorized a cooperation agreement with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh ("URA") in connection with URA's application with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Office of the Budget (the "Commonwealth") for a $250,000 Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program ("RACP") grant for the Steamfitters Local 449 Training Facility project (the "Project"); and
Whereas, by Resolution No. 572, effective August 20, 2010, URA was authorized to amend the application to increase the grant by $250,000 to $500,000; and
Whereas, the RACP grant has been increased by $250,000 to $750,000; and
Whereas, the Commonwealth requires the City of Pittsburgh to agree to reimburse it for any expenditure of RACP funds determined by the Commonwealth to be ineligible; and
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. Section 1 of Resolution No. 180, effective April 23, 2009, as amended by Resolution No. 572, effective August 20, 2010, which currently reads as follows:
"The Mayor, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is authorized to enter into Cooperation Agreement or Agreements with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh, in a form approved by the City Solicitor, in which URA agrees to administer the Project and the City agrees to reimburse the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for its share of any expenditure of RACP funds in the amount of $500,000 for the Project found by the Commonwealth to be ineligible."
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"The Mayor, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is authorized to enter into Cooperation Agreement or Agreements with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh, in a form approved by the City Solicitor, in which URA agrees to administer the Project and the City agrees to reimburse the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for its share of any expenditure of RACP funds in the amount of $750,000 for the Project found by the Commonwealth to be ineligible."
