Title
Resolution providing for the implementation of the Residential Parking Permit Program Area "I I" in the South Side Flats community (Council District #3) pursuant to Pittsburgh Code Chapter 549.

WHEREAS, portions of the South Side Flats community (Council District #3) have petitioned the City in accordance with the established procedures and the Department of City Planning has undertaken a parking survey which determined that the proposed area is eligible for residential permit parking.
WHEREAS, on August 5, 2014 the City Planning Commission voted to positively recommend this resolution.
Be it resolved by the council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. As provided by the Pittsburgh City Code, Chapter 549, entitled "Residential Parking Permit Program," a parking management plan is adopted as follows:
For the Area bounded by: South 22nd Street from East Carson Street to Harcum Way; South 23rd Street from East Carson Street to Sarah Street and from Larkins Way to Mary Street; South 24th Street from East Carson Street to Harcum Way; South 25th Street from East Carson Street to Harcum Way; South 26th Street from Sarah Street to Jane Street; South 27th Street from Harcum Way to Mary Street; South 28th Street from Jane Street to Harcum Way; Carey Way from South 22nd Street to South 26th Street and from South 27th Street to South 28th Street; Sarah Street from South 22nd Street to 2905 Sarah Street; Larkins Way from South 22nd Street to South 26th Street and from South 27th Street to South 29th Street; Jane Street from South 22nd Street to South 26th Street and from South 28th Street to dead end; Harcum Way from South 22nd Street to South 23rd Street and from South 27th Street to South 28th Street; Mary Street from South 22nd Street to South 23rd Street
Motorized vehicle parking shall be restricted to an one (2) hour time limit between the hours of 12:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m., Monday through Saturday except where existing parking restrictions may exist and motor vehicles displaying a valid area "I I" residential permit or visitor's pass; and that residential parking permits be sold only to legal residents or a person who owns or leases commercial property and is actively engaged in a business on property fronting or abutting the above mentioned streets; and that visitor's pass usage shall be limited to no more than three (3) consecutive days a month on the same vehicle.
