Resolution requesting the approval of an inter-municipal transfer of a restaurant liquor license, License No. R-18761, from National Builders and Acceptance Corp., as the secured creditor of Freddy's Restaurant and Lounge, Inc, which is no longer in existence, but formerly located at 211 Washington Avenue, Dravosburg C/O The Liquor Control Board, to a location in the Strip District, 1814 Penn Avenue, Suite 200, Pittsburgh PA 15219, pursuant to amended Pennsylvania Liquor Code, §4-461.

Be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh Hereby enacts as follows:
 
Section 1.  The Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby endorses the request for approval of an inter-municipal transfer of a restaurant liquor license, License No. R-18761, from National Builders and Acceptance Corp., as the secured creditor of Freddy's Restaurant and Lounge, Inc, which is no longer in existence, but formerly located at 211 Washington Avenue, Dravosburg c/o The Liquor Control Board, to a location in the Strip District, 1814 Penn Avenue, Suite 200, Pittsburgh PA 15219, pursuant to amended Pennsylvania Liquor Code, §4-461.
 
SECTION 2.  
 
Request for Approval
 
      Sons of Columbus of America, which has a mailing address of 1814 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA  15219, submitted a request for approval of an intermunicipal transfer of a restaurant liquor license, License No. R-18761, which is currently registered to National Builders and Acceptance Corp., as the secured creditor of Freddy's Restauant and Lounge, Inc which is no longer in existence, but formerly located at 211 Washington Avenue, Dravosburg c/o The Liquor Control Board desires to place a restaurant liquor license into a premises to be known as Sons of Columbus at 1814 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, 15219, Strip District.  The proposed interior of the premises will comprise the second floor of said address 1814 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15219.
 
SECTION 3.
 
Public Hearing
 
      City Council shall set a date for Public Hearing for the purpose of receiving comments and recommendations of interested individuals residing in the City of Pittsburgh concerning National Builders and Acceptance Corp, as the secured creditor of Freddy's Restaurant and Lounge, Inc. which no longer in existence, but formerly located at 211 Washington Avenue, Dravosburg c/o Liquor Control Board intent to transfer the above restaurant liquor license.
 
SECTION 4.  
 
Approval or Denial of Request
      After the Public Hearing and within 45 days of the introduction of this Resolution, City Council shall render a decision to approve or disapprove Sons of Columbus of America's  request for inter-municipal transfer of a restaurant liquor license.  City Council must approve Sons of Columbus of America  request unless it finds that approval would adversely affect the welfare, health, peace and morals of the City of Pittsburgh or its residents.
 
Pursuant to 47P.S. Sec. 4-461 (b.3.) Mayor's signature not required.
