Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize Angelo J. Bordogna for his remarkable career and achievements in the sport of bowling and congratulates Angelo J. Bordogna on becoming the President of the Pennsylvania State Bowling Association; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Saturday, October 6, 2012, to be “ANGELO J. BORDOGNA DAY” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Bowling Association is a chartered State Association of the United States Bowling Congress which is the national governing body which ensures the integrity of the sport and protects its future, provides programs and services and enhances the bowling experience; and,
WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Bowling Association promotes, organizes and conducts annual tournaments for the members of the State local associations and to the best of its ability, promotes and fosters the game of American Tenpins with the assistance and guidance of the United States Bowling Congress. The PA SBA operates a State Hall of Fame, a State Jamboree, a Regular Tournament ,a Seniors Tournament, a Mixed Tournament, a State Bowling Council and provides support to the PA State USBC Youth Program; and,    
WHEREAS, Angelo J. Bordogna, will be installed as President of the Pennsylvania State Bowling Association at a Testimonial Dinner at the Pittsburgh Marriot North on October 6, 2012; and,
WHEREAS, Angelo Bordogna, a graduate of Slippery Rock State College and owner of Bordogna Supply, has served as Delegate, Director, Chairman of Western Area Directors, and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Vice President of the PA State Bowling Association and will serve as its President for the 2102-2013 Term; and,
WHEREAS, Angelo Bordogna has dedicated his life to the sport of bowling and has received many awards and recognitions. He has served as the President of the Greater Pittsburgh Ten Pin Bowling Association and is currently the Bowling Head Coach at Oakland Catholic High School, Central Catholic High School and Community College of Allegheny County Boyce Campus.
