Resolution vacating Omega Place and Reiter Street, in the 11th Ward, Council District 9 of the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, it appears by the petition and affidavit on file in the Office of the City Clerk that the owners of all the property fronting or abutting on the line of Omega Place and Reiter Street in the 11th Ward, Council District 9 of the City of Pittsburgh, have petitioned the council of the City of Pittsburgh to enact a resolution for the vacation of same, and
WHEREAS, said petition contains inter-alia, an indemnification of the City from any claims and from the payment of any damages whatsoever resulting to any properties owned by the petitioners or by any persons whatsoever, abutting or non-abutting, for or by reason of said vacation; therefore,
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1.
All that certain street, to be vacated, being Omega Place, situate in the 11th Ward, City of Pittsburgh,
Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, more particularly bound and described as follows:
Beginning at a point at the intersection of the westerly right of way line of Larimer Avenue, 45.00 feet
wide, and the southerly right of way line of Omega Place, 40.00 feet wide; thence from said point of
beginning by the right of way line of Omega Place the following thirteen (13) courses and distances:
in a northwesterly direction by a curve bearing to the left having a radius of 8.00 feet through an
arc distance of 15.86 feet to a point of tangency;
N 63° 33' 38.4" W a distance of 223.58 feet;
S31° 32' 01.6" W a distance of 58.00 feet;
N 58° 13' 38.4" W a distance of 54.99 feet;
N 31° 32' 01.6" E a distance of 300.10 feet;
S63° 33' 38.4" E a distance of 53.71 feet;
S29° 44' 01.6" W a distance of 47.76 feet;
S31 ° 32' 01.6" W a distance of 15.22 feet;
N 63° 33' 38.4" W a distance of 25.10 feet;
S31° 32' 01.6" W a distance of 143.98 feet;
S63° 33' 38.4" E a distance of 269.55 feet to a point of curvature;
in a westerly direction by a curve bearing to the left having a radius of 8.00 feet through an arc
distance of 9.28 feet to a point on the westerly right of way line of said Larimer Avenue;
thence by the westerly right of way line of said Larimer Avenue S 50° 00 51.6" W a distance of 61.11
feet to a point at the intersection of the westerly right of way line of said Larimer Avenue and the
southerly right of way line of said Omega Place, at the point of beginning.
Containing an area of 22,760 square feet or 0.522 acre.
All that certain street, to be vacated, being Reiter Street, situate in the 11th Ward, City of Pittsburgh,
Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, more particularly bound and described as follows:
Beginning at a point at the intersection of the westerly right of way line of Reiter Street, 28.00 feet wide,
and the northerly right of way line of Omega Place, 40.00 feet wide; thence from said point of beginning
by the westerly right of way line of Reiter Street N 13° 38' 21.6" a distance of 81.69 feet to a point on
the northerly terminus of Reiter Street; thence by the northerly terminus of Reiter Street S 63° 33' 38.4"
E a distance of 28.71 feet to a point on the easterly right of way line of Reiter Street; thence by the
easterly right of way line of said Reiter Street S 13° 38' 21.6" W distance of 81.69 feet to a point on the
northerly right of way line of said Omega Place; thence by the northerly right of way line of said Omega
Place N 63° 33' 38.4" W a distance of 28.71 feet to a point at the intersection of the westerly right of
way line of said Reiter Street and the northerly right of way line of said Omega Place, at the point of
beginning.
Containing an area of 2,287 square feet or 0.053 acre.
And also reserving the right of easement of 12"+ 15" sewer lines and 8" water lines located therein, in the 11th Ward, City of Pittsburgh as described above shall be and the same is hereby vacated.
Finally, that any Resolution or Ordinance or part thereof conflicting with the provisions of this Resolution is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Resolution.
