Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Finance to enter into an agreement or agreements with Active Network to provide Market-Based Revenue Opportunity consulting for the City of Pittsburgh. Cost not to exceed $75,000.00.
Body
WHEREAS, in May 2006, City Council created a Market Based Revenue Opportunity (“MBRO”) Task Force to investigate potential revenue generation activities involving the City and City-owned assets; and
WHEREAS, the City issued an RFP seeking consultants to provide proposals to assist the City with preparing and implementing a MBRO program between the City and private companies (the “Project”); and
WHEREAS, the MBRO Task Force interviewed numerous candidates during the review process; and
WHEREAS, the MRBO Task Force has recommended that the City hire Active Network to provide the necessary consulting services for Phase I of the Project; and
WHEREAS, upon completion of Phase I of the Project, the City will determine whether or not to continue with Phase II of the Project, which will implement any policies and strategies developed in Phase I; and
WHEREAS, the City and Active Network now wish to enter into a Professional Services Agreement to set forth their respective responsibilities during Phase I of the Project with the City also reserving the right to continue with Active Network for Phase II of the Project.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Finance are authorized to enter into an Agreement or Agreements with Active Network for Phase I of the Project at a cost not to exceed Seventy Five Thousand ($75,000.00) payable from and chargeable to: Account 525500, Fund 1000, Org. 999200, Subclass 150, BY 2007 (Misc. Services Non-Departmental Citywide). The Agreement(s) shall be approved by the City Solicitor in form and substance.
Section 2. In the event that the City is pleased with Active Network's work in Phase I, the City may enter into a second agreement with Active Network for Phase II of the Project, which will involve implementation of the policies and strategies developed in Phase I. Payment for this Phase will be commission based.
