Resolution providing for the designation as a Historic Structure under Title 11 of the Code of Ordinances that certain site known as Mellon Park, located in Point Breeze (85-D-50, 84-S-250, 84-S-251, 125-N-200), in the 7th and 14th Wards, in the city of Pittsburgh. The City of Pittsburgh is the owner of this property and there has been no objection to the nomination.

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh has duly enacted Title 11 of the Code of Ordinances, which protects and preserves Historic Structures, Districts, Sites, and Objects; and
WHEREAS, Elizabeth Seamons has nominated Mellon Park, located in Point Breeze (85-D-50, 84-S-250, 84-S-251, 125-N-200) for designation as a Historic Site; and
WHEREAS, the Historic Review Commission has held a public hearing to gather testimony from the property owner and other interested parties concerning the appropriateness of this designation; and
WHEREAS, the Historic Review Commission has voted to recommend that City Council designate Mellon Park, located in Point Breeze (85-D-50, 84-S-250, 84-S-251, 125-N-200) as a Historic Site; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has held a public hearing to gather testimony from the property owner and other interested parties concerning the appropriateness of this designation; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has voted to recommend that City Council designate Mellon Park, located in Point Breeze (85-D-50, 84-S-250, 84-S-251, 125-N-200) as a Historic Site; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh has held a public hearing to gather testimony from the public concerning the appropriateness of this designation; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh finds that the aforementioned Mellon Park is a Historic Site that should be preserved;
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Title 11 of the Code of Ordinances, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby designates as a Historic Site, Mellon Park, located in Point Breeze (85-D-50, 84-S-250, 84-S-251, 125-N-200) as a Historic Site, in Point Breeze, in the 7th and 14th Wards, City of Pittsburgh.
