Resolution authorizing a Cooperation Agreement or Agreements with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh in connection with the URA’s application for a Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grant for the Renovation of Sheraden Park in the amount of ONE MILLION EIGHTY THREE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY SEVEN ($1,083,467.00) dollars and authorizing expenditures for this stated purpose.

WHEREAS, the Commonwealth requires the City to agree to reimburse it for any expenditure of RACP funds determined by the Commonwealth to be ineligible
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the director of the Department of Public Works of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to enter into a Cooperation Agreement with the Urban Redevelopment Authority in order to receive a grant from the Pennsylvania Budget Office’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program in the amount of ONE MILLION EIGHTY THREE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY SEVEN ($1,083,467.00) dollars for the purpose of renovating Sheraden Park Monies from the grant agreement shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund Account 4029400423.45505.00.
Section 2. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works are further authorized to enter into Agreements, or Contracts, or utilize existing Agreements or Contracts not to exceed ONE MILLION EIGHTY THREE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY SEVEN ($1,083,467.00) dollars for the purpose of renovating Sheraden Park under the terms of the agreement between the City of Pittsburgh, the Urban Redevelopment Authority and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Costs are chargeable to and payable from Grants Trust Fund Account 4029400423.
Section 3. The local match of $1,083,467 shall come from the 2023 Capital Budget (JDE job number 4550000723) for a total project cost of TWO MILLION ONE HUNDRED SIXTY SIX THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED THIRTY FOUR ($2,166,934.00) dollars.
Section 4. The City agrees to reimburse the Commonwealth for any expenditures of RACP funds determined by the Commonwealth to be ineligible.
