BE IT RESOLVED THA THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
 
 
Whereas, pursuant to Resolution No. 580, effective July 23, 2003, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh authorized the Mayor to file an application with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") for $2,000,000 in Brownfields Economic Development Initiative ("BEDI") grants to pay part of the cost to renovate Building #3 at Lexington Technology Park in the North Point Breeze Industrial District and the J. Allan Steel building in the Chateau Industrial District and designated Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh ("URA") as the City's agent for administration of the BEDI grant; and
 
Whereas, HUD approved BEDI grants of $1,100,000 for the North Point Breeze project and $900,000 for the Chateau Industrial District project; and
 
      Whereas, the City wishes to reallocate the 2003 BEDI grants to the Pittsburgh Technology Center project;
 
      Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
      Section 1.      The reallocation of the 2003 BEDI grants in the amount of $2,000,000 from the North Point Breeze and Chateau Industrial Districts to Pittsburgh Technology Center is hereby approved.
 
      Section 2.      The Mayor, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is hereby authorized to execute and file amended Applications for Federal Assistance, a program narrative and certifications and assurances required by HUD for grants of $1,100,000 and $900,000 under the BEDI program for the Pittsburgh Technology Center project.
 
      Section 3.      Upon approval by HUD of the application, the Mayor, on behalf of the City, is authorized to execute a grant agreement and any other necessary and appropriate documents required by HUD in connection with the BEDI program, which agreements shall be in a form approved by the City Solicitor.
 
      Section 4.      Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh is hereby designated as the City's agent for administration of the BEDI grant and is authorized to draw down funds directly from HUD.
