Title
Resolution authorizing the City of Pittsburgh to issue a quit claim deed for certain property in the 22nd Ward of the City of Pittsburgh to the Pittsburgh Children's Museum for expansion purposes more specifically the Eastern half of vacated Allegheny Square West and a Western portion of Block 23-R, Lot No. 103 for the sum of one dollar.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The proper officers of the City of Pittsburgh are hereby authorized to execute and deliver quit a claim deed in form approved by the City Solicitor to the Pittsburgh Children's Museum conveying all rights, title and interest, if any, of the City of Pittsburgh in the following described properties upon terms and conditions hereinafter set forth:

Description One:
Transfer of Eastern half of Allegheny Square West vacated by City Council Resolution No. 303 effective May 15, 2002.
ALL THAT CERTAIN LOT or piece of ground situate in the 22nd Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, said area being the Eastern half of Allegheny Square West vacated to the City of Pittsburgh by City Council Resolution No. 303 effective May 15, 2002 being more fully bounded and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point at the Southeast intersection of the Eastern right-of-way line of Allegheny Square, 60 feet wide, and the former Northern right-of-way line of West Ohio Street, 80 feet wide, now vacated; thence along said Eastern right-of-way of Allegheny Square North 14º02'44'' West a distance of 148.66 feet to a point; thence South 70º38'44'' West a distance of 30.13 feet to a point on the Center line of Allegheny Square, 60 feet wide now vacated; thence South 14º02'44'' East a distance of 159.69 feet to a point; thence North 76º03'37'' East a distance of 30.0 feet to a point on the Eastern right-of-way of Allegheny Square; thence Northerly along said Eastern right-of-way North 14º02'44'' West a distance of 13.88 feet to a point at the PLACE OF BEGINNING. Containing 4,833.3 square feet of area.
Description Two:
Transfer of Western portion of Block 23-R, Lot No. 103. ALL THAT CERTAIN LOT or piece of ground situate in the 22nd Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania being part of Lot 1-R in the Pittsburgh Children's Museum Plan Revised as recorded in Plan Book Volume 242 pages 150 and 151 and more specifically identified as the Western portion of parcel 23-R-103 being more fully bounded and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point at the Southeast intersection of the Eastern right-of-way line of Allegheny Square, 60 feet wide, now vacated, and the former Northern right-of-way line of West Ohio Street, 80 feet wide, now vacated; thence along said Eastern right of way line of Allegheny Square North 14º02'44'' West a distance of 164.61 feet to a point; thence North 76º03'53'' East a distance of 17.35 feet to a point; thence South 13º53'45'' East a distance of 85.45 feet to a point; thence South 76º06'15'' West a distance of 2.12 feet to a point; thence South 13º53'45'' East a distance of 79.16 feet to a point on the Northern former right-of-way line of West Ohio Street, now vacated; thence along said right-of-way line South 76º03'37'' West a distance of 14.80 feet to a point at the PLACE OF BEGINNING. Containing 2,653.0 square feet of area.
BEING designated as part of Block 23-R, Lot No. 103 in the Deed Registry office of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
Section 2
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said conveyance shall be subject to the following terms and conditions:
A. All state and local transfer taxes, if any, will be paid by the Pittsburgh Children's Museum.
B. All proper closing charges shall be paid by the Pittsburgh Children's Museum.
