Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor to accept on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, a grant from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency in the amount of $46,386.00, and authorizing agreement or agreements with qualified agencies for project coordination, youth development, and other related services including transfer of salaries, supply purchases, travel reimbursement, and other expenses in connection with the Youth Service Coordination Project.
Body
WHEREAS, the City has been awarded a supplemental grant by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency for conducting the Youth Service Coordination Project in the City of Pittsburgh.
 
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.      The Mayor is authorized to accept on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, a grant from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, for the purpose of successfully executing the Youth Service Coordination Project (Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency Project Number: 2005/2007-JB-11-18907). The Grant Agreement shall be approved as to form and substance by the City Solicitor and monies shall be deposited into the Youth Policy Trust Fund, Account Number  526125; Fund 2481; Organization 210000; Subclass 600; Budget Year 2008.
 
Section 2.      The Mayor and Director of Public Safety are hereby authorized and directed to enter into professional service Agreement or Agreements with qualified agencies for project coordination, youth development, and other related services including transfer of salaries, supply purchases, travel reimbursement, and other expenses in connection with the Youth Service Coordination Project (Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency Project Number: 2005/2007-JB-11-18907), that are required for the successful execution , in an amount not to exceed Forty-six Thousand Three Hundred and Eighty-six dollars chargeable to and payable from the Youth Policy Trust Fund, Account Number  526125; Fund 2481; Organization 210000; Subclass 600; Budget Year 2008. Said agreement shall be in form approved by the City Solicitor and shall contain such other terms and conditions as may be in the best interest of the youth of the City and are required by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency. All payments to be made under this agreement are subject to and contingent upon the receipt by the City of the grant money for the Youth Service Coordination Project.
