WHEREAS, Citywide events, neighborhood festivals, and year-round recreation enrich life in Pittsburgh. These services are made possible by the Department of Public Works and Citiparks, who maintain 3,800 acres across 163 parks and thanks to dedicated employees like Clint Burton, Sean Krashna and Weston White Sr, each with over 20 years of service; and,
WHEREAS, Clint grew up in Brookline and has served the City of Pittsburgh since 2001 across multiple roles-including as Network Support Analyst, Recreation Leader at Brookline and West Penn Recreation Center where he is currently the Director. As Director, he has been working with Special Needs clients to provide a safe and engaging place; and,
WHEREAS, following his long line of family civic involvement, he prides himself in fostering a welcoming, vibrant, and inclusive recreational environment. He has organized annual Earth Day cleanups, directed the Brookline Breeze 5K, and worked a wide range of events including, but not limited to, the Brookline Car Cruises, the annual Great Race from 2001-2015, played the Pioneer at the Frick Park Maple Days, and hosted the Furry Pink Pig Races; and,
WHEREAS, Sean grew up in Crafton Heights, and began his career with the City of Pittsburgh in 2001 as a Recreation Leader in the Community Enrichment Program. After a brief hiatus, he returned in 2008 to the Mellon Park Tennis Center known as the “Bubble” in the same role. In addition to his city work, he also serves as a Direct Support Professional, assisting adults with intellectual disabilities; and,
WHEREAS, his commitment to community service began early, volunteering for years with the Great Race as a chute runner and support staff. Known for strong customer service and long-standing relationships with patrons-some dating back to his early days at the Bubble-Sean often goes above and beyond, even helping with groundskeeping; and,
WHEREAS, Weston “Tiny” was raised in Pittsburgh’s Northview Heights neighborhood and became a pillar of the community. Since age 14, he has coached, counseled, and guided local youth both professionally and voluntarily. He’s led countless sports programs, from flag football to video game leagues, but baseball has always been his true passion, it runs in his family’s DNA; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. White began working with Citiparks in 1997, deepening his lifelong dedication to the community. Over the years, he’s served at several centers-Jefferson, Warrington, Brookline, Ammons, and now West Penn. Although he misses the youth in the Northview Heights neighborhood, he continues to make an impact with special needs programs, workout crews, and his beloved pickleball players; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize Clint Burton, Sean Krashna and Weston White Sr. for their outstanding public service and lasting contributions to the Pittsburgh community; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, October 21, 2025 to be “Clint Burton, Sean Krashna and Weston White Sr. Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
