Resolution granting a vacation of an unopened unimproved paper portion of Savoy Street, in the 27th Ward, 1st Council District of the City of Pittsburgh, at no cost to the City.

WHEREAS, ALLEGHENY LAND TRUST, has requested this vacation, at no cost to the City, in order to consolidate their property, being Allegheny County Tax Parcel ID’s 75-L-277, 276 and 75-L-314. 

 

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1:                     All that certain tract of land situate in the 27th Ward, City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania more particularly bound and described as follows:

 

Beginning at a point on the easterly right of way line of Savoy Street, 30 foot right of way at the line dividing lands now or formerly of Michelle Christner as recorded in the Department of Real Estate for Allegheny County, Pennsylvania in Deed Book Volume 9605, Page 175 and lands now or formerly of

Allegheny Land Trust as recorded in the Department of Real Estate for Allegheny County, Pennsylvania

in Deed Book Volume 19664, Page 82(Parcel ID: 75-L-314); thence by said easterly right of way line of

Savoy Street N 11⁰48’40” E a distance of 68.00 feet to a point of terminus of said Savoy Street at the line

of lands of said Allegheny Land Trust (Parcel ID: 75-L-275); thence by the line dividing said terminus of

Savoy Street and said lands of Allegheny Land Trust S 75⁰07’20” W a distance of 30.04 feet to a point at

the northwesterly corner of the terminus of said Savoy Street at the line dividing said lands of Allegheny

Land Trust (Parcel ID: 75-L-275) and said lands of Allegheny Land Trust (Parcel ID: 75-L-276); thence

by the westerly right of way line of said Savoy Street by the line dividing said westerly right of way of

Savoy Street and lands of said Allegheny Land Trust (Parcel ID’s: 75-L-276 and 75-L-277) S 11⁰48’40”

E a distance of 77.36 feet to a point common to said westerly right of way line of Savoy Street, said lands

of Allegheny Land Trust (Parcel ID: 75-L-277) and lands now or formerly of Brighton Heights Citizens’

Federation as recorded in the Department of Real Estate for Allegheny County, Pennsylvania in Deed

Book Volume 17407, Page 414; thence through said lands of Savoy Street in a northeasterly direction N

42⁰09’40” E a distance of 18.55 feet to a point; thence continuing by the same in an easterly direction N

77⁰58’20” E a distance of 15.00 feet to a point at the place of beginning.

 

Said lot or piece of ground containing an area of  2,098 square feet or 0.048 acre.

 

Section 2. Since this portion of the right-of-way is presently unopened and unused for street or pedestrian purposes and the City has no intention to open this right-of-way, the Finance Department in line with Law Department policy, places no price or charge for this vacation.

 

Section 3. ALLEGHENY LAND TRUST shall, within sixty (60) days after the effective date of this resolution, must record this vacation with the Allegheny County Department of Real Estate.
