Resolution amending resolution No. 662 of 2024, entitled “Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to enter into an NFL Draft Funding Agreement or Agreements with the Greater Pittsburgh Convention and Visitors Bureau, Inc. d/b/a VisitPITTSBURGH for the coordination of municipal, governmental, and other services required for the 2026 NFL Draft, at cost not to exceed One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) over three years, plus the value of various in-kind City services”, to provide authorization for an amendment granting receipt by the City for an amount not to exceed two million dollars from VisitPITTSBURGH for reimbursement of certain expenses incurred by the City as a result of the 2026 NFL Draft.

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh and VisitPittsburgh previously entered into a cooperative funding agreement pursuant to Resolution 662 of 2024 allowing for sharing of costs and services in coordination with VisitPITTSBURGH in preparation for the 2026 NFL Draft, and
WHEREAS, VisitPITTSBURGH is obtaining additional funding to provide to the City of Pittsburgh for reimbursement of certain expenses by the City arising from the 2026 NFL Draft, and
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the cooperative funding agreement in order to allow for this transfer of funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. Resolution 662 of 2024 shall be hereby amended to include the new section 3 as follows:

Section 3. The Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to enter into an Agreement or Agreements or amendments to existing Agreements with VisitPITTSBURGH for the purpose of receiving grant funds in the amount not to exceed TWO MILLION ($2,000,000.00) dollars for additional costs incurred by the City due to the NFL Draft. Monies from the grant agreement shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund account 0229400539.
