WHEREAS, Stephanie Fox is a nationally recognized trauma expert, innovative executive, connector, and survivor whose work across Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has touched thousands of lives. She supports individuals, youth, and families while strengthening how people, communities, and systems come together. A proud Pittsburgh native, she brings lived experience, intelligence, and deep compassion into everything she does; and,

WHEREAS, Stephanie shows up consistently, quietly, and without seeking recognition. She meets people where they are-in moments of crisis, in the aftermath of trauma, in shelters, and throughout the community. Across cultures, sectors, and all forms of trauma, she leads with dignity, respect, and care; and,
WHEREAS, What sets Stephanie apart is both her range and her heart. Whether contributing in high-impact meetings, advising on meaningful policy efforts, or showing up for young people and at-risk youth, she brings the same presence, kindness, and unwavering commitment to paying it forward.; and,
WHEREAS, She is deeply respected Stephanie works alongside Pittsburgh-based organizations, companies, and law enforcement, helping bring people together in ways that move real work forward ; and,
WHEREAS, Stephanie has been sought out to train city employees on trauma-informed approaches within both government and community settings. She contributes to and advises on policy efforts locally and beyond, helping ensure that lived experience shapes meaningful decisions; and,
WHEREAS, Stephanie operates with a level of commitment that goes beyond expectation gives dignity to everyone she encounters. She is widely regarded as one of the most upstanding women in Pittsburgh because of how she shows up every day; and,
WHEREAS, Deeply rooted in Pittsburgh, she remains committed to its people, its neighborhoods, and its future. Stephanie Fox leaves everyone she encounters better than she found them, and her impact is felt far beyond the moment. The Bowers family is so thankful for Stephanie and all of her support over the years; and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Stephanie Fox ; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Thursday April, 9, 2026 to be “Stephanie Fox’ in the City of Pittsburgh.
