Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Resolution 893 of 2024 entitled, “Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Human Resources and Civil Service to enter into an agreement that will amend Resolution 97 of 2024, which authorized a Professional Services contract between the City of Pittsburgh and UPMC Benefit Management Services, Inc., d/b/a WorkPartners EAP Life Solutions for services relating to the administration of the City of Pittsburgh’s Employee Assistance Program by extending the contract for one year, increasing the approved amount by Forty-Nine Thousand Five Hundred dollars ($49,500.00), for a new total cost not to exceed Ninety-Nine Thousand dollars ($99,000.00),” is hereby amended as follows:

 

Section 1.      The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Human Resources and Civil Service, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into a Professional Services Agreement(s) and/or Contract(s) with UPMC Benefit Management Services, Inc., d/b/a WorkPartners EAP Life Solutions, for professional services relating to the administration of the City of Pittsburgh’s Employee Assistance Program; and providing for the payment of the costs thereof.  This will extend the term by one year increasing the not to exceed amount by Forty-Nine Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($49,500.00), for a new total cost not to exceed One Hundred Forty-Eight Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($148,500.00).

 

Section 2.     The City Controller shall encumber funds for the annual contract, subject to the amount of funds to be appropriated by City Council in respective budget year from the following chart account:

Section 3.     Said agreement or agreements and any amendment or amendments shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form and substance.
