Resolution amending Resolution Enactment Number 271, effective May 5, 2014, providing for an agreement or agreements for the Department of Innovation & Performance to include upgrades to the City's existing public safety systems for a sum not to exceed $200,000 and for the payment of the costs thereof; said amendment to extend the term from December 31, 2015 to December 31, 2106 and to allocate funds from a new JDE # to provide for the same.

WHEREAS, CITY and CONSULTANT entered into a Professional Services Agreement (hereinafter the “Agreement”) with Hitachi Data Systems Corp., which commenced January 1, 2015 for the performance of tasks relating to the City’s public security camera network, including but not limited to design, engineering, analytics, network video management software, surveillance and wireless infrastructure, and support services relating to the integration of additional digital video camera systems and other related hardware into the City’s existing public security safety camera system; and
WHEREAS, on December 31, 2015 the term ended for the above-referenced Agreement; and
WHEREAS, CITY remains in need of essential support and maintenance services for the continued operation of CITY’s public security camera network until a new Request for Proposal process can be completed; and
WHEREAS, CITY and CONSULTANT now wish to amend the Agreement to revise the Term and allocate funds for the same;
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Chief & Director of the Department of Innovation & Performance on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to amend a Professional Services Agreement (hereinafter the “Agreement”) with Hitachi Data Systems Corp., which commenced January 1, 2015 for the performance of tasks relating to the City’s public security camera network, including but not limited to design, engineering, analytics, network video management software, surveillance and wireless infrastructure, and support services relating to the integration of additional digital video camera systems and other related hardware into the City’s existing public security safety camera system, hardware, software, training, professional services, and maintenance at a cost not to exceed Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000) chargeable to and payable from JDE Account # 11101.103000.53.53509.2016, Department of Innovation & Performance; further said Agreement shall be amended to extend the term from December 31, 2015 to December 31, 2016.
