Resolution approving Execution of a Contract for Disposition by Sale of Land by and between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and S & A Homes, Inc., or an entity to be formed, for the Sale of Disposition Parcels 17, 18 and 19 in Redevelopment Area No. 51, in the 25th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh - Council District No.6 (residential construction).

Whereas, pursuant to Resolution No. 951, effective December 22, 1995, and Resolution No. 486, effective October 11, 2004, and in the manner prescribed by the Urban Redevelopment Law, Act of May 24, 1945, P.L. 991, as amended, the Redevelopment Proposal for Redevelopment Area No. 51, in the 22nd and 25th Wards of the City of Pittsburgh was approved; and
Whereas, the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh has requested authorization to execute a Contract for Disposition by Sale of Land by and between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and S & A Homes, Inc., or an entity to be formed, in connection with the sale of Disposition Parcels 17, 18 and 19 for $60,000.00, said property being located in the 25th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh in Redevelopment Area No. 51; and
Whereas, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh believes that the proposed Contract is in the best interest of the City of Pittsburgh and therefore desires to give its approval in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Redevelopment Law.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. That execution of the Contract for Disposition by Sale of Land by and between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and S & A Homes, Inc., or an entity to be formed, in connection with the sale of Disposition Parcels 17, 18 and 19 for $60,000.00 said property being located in the 25th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, be and the same is hereby approved, said Contract being in conformity with the Redevelopment Proposal for Redevelopment Area No. 51, as amended , in the 22nd and 25th Wards of the City of Pittsburgh.
