Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Finance to accept by deed(s) of gift or dedication from the Perry Athletic Association title to fourteen parcels of real property located along Garvin Street in the 26th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh.

Body
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.

WHEREAS, by deed dated August 26, 1969, the City of Pittsburgh conveyed to the Perry Athletic Association title to nine parcels of real property located along Garvin Street in the 26th Ward for the operation of a Little League baseball field;

WHEREAS, said deed provided that title to said properties would revert to the City if they were no longer used for recreational purposes;

WHEREAS, prior to 1969, the Perry Athletic Association had acquired title to four additional parcels which are also part of the site where the baseball field is located;

WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 307, approved May 17, 1976, a portion of Garvin Street was vacated from Swanson Street to a point 131.87 feet westerly, and the Perry Athletic Association became the legal owner thereof by virtue of the fact that it owned each of the adjacent parcels on both sides of that portion of Garvin Street;

WHEREAS, the Perry Athletic Association is no longer active and does not use the site for recreational purposes;

WHEREAS, the Perry Athletic Association is willing to convey all fourteen parcels to the City by deed(s) of gift or dedication and the City is willing to accept title to such properties;
