Title: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize the critical role that the Greenfield Baseball Association has played in the community, commends those GBA volunteers who have given unselfishly of their time and congratulates the honorees at the Annual Awards Dinner for their contributions to the Greenfield community; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Saturday, November 16, 2019, to be "GREENFIELD DAY" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, the Greenfield section of the City of Pittsburgh, located in the heart of City Council District 5, has long been a viable and energetic community whose residents are dedicated to an exceptional quality of life strengthened by community resources and committed volunteers; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Greenfield Baseball Association has been providing organized youth baseball for the children of Greenfield for 66 years, and this year, the GBA will sponsor the 34th Annual Awards Dinner recognizing the dedicated citizens of Greenfield who have worked tirelessly to make their neighborhood a better place to live; and,

 

WHEREAS, the 34th Annual Awards Dinner will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2019 and will honor the following dedicated citizens of Greenfield:

 

PERSONS OF THE YEAR……James Gregg, Jr.

HALL OF FAME……………….Terry & Karen Quirin/Conicella’s Pizza
