Title
Resolution providing for the letting, for and during the calendar year 2009, of contracts and for the use of existing contracts for the maintenance, repair, rental and/or leasing, rehabilitation, renovation, inspection or servicing, including the furnishing of labor and materials necessary thereof; of personal property, and also for bonding, insurance, printing and any other related services, and for the maintenance and repair of buildings, structures or any other properties in the custody of the various Departments of the City of Pittsburgh, and for any miscellaneous services in and for any or all Departments of the City of Pittsburgh, and providing for the payment of the costs thereof.

Be It Resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Director of the Department of Finance of the City of Pittsburgh is hereby authorized to invite proposals and to award a contract or contracts, for the maintenance, repair, rental and/or leasing, rehabilitation, renovation, inspection or servicing, including the furnishing of labor and materials necessary thereof, of personal property, and also for bonding, insurance, printing and any other related services, and for the maintenance and repair of buildings, structures or any other properties in the custody of the various Departments owned and controlled by the City of Pittsburgh, and for any miscellaneous services in and for any or all Departments of the City of Pittsburgh, whose estimated cost will be in excess of $10,000 and to purchase, without advertisement, such services as listed above whose estimated costs will be less than $10,000 as required by various Departments of the City of Pittsburgh, all in accordance with the laws and ordinances governing said City. The City of Pittsburgh shall have the right to terminate contracts as of December 31, 2009, in the event funds are not appropriated for the continuation of applicable contracts in any succeeding calendar year, or upon consolidation of said contracts with the County of Allegheny, whichever occurs first.
Section 2. The costs thereof shall and are hereby made payable from funds appropriated. Therefore the various Departments of the City of Pittsburgh and the Mayor are hereby authorized to issue, and the City Controller to countersign, warrants on said funds in payment thereof.
Finally, that any Ordinance of Resolution, or part thereof, conflicting with the provisions of this Resolution is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Resolution.
