Title
Resolution providing for the implementation of a Residential Parking Permit Program (RPPP) Area "BB", in the Bloomfield / Friendship area (Council District #7) pursuant to Pittsburgh Code Chapter 549.
Body
WHEREAS, portions of the Bloomfield / Friendship area (Council District #7) have petitioned the City in accordance with established procedures and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Department has undertaken a parking study which determined that the proposed area is eligible for residential permit parking.
WHEREAS, a parking management plan has been prepared by the City Planning Department and a hearing has been held on it by the Pittsburgh City Planning Commission and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission on May 6, 2003 recommended the plan,
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. As provided in the Pittsburgh Code, Chapter 549, entitled "Residential Parking Permit Program", a parking management plan is adopted as follows:
For the area bounded by: Amboy Way from Friendship Avenue to Coral Street, South Pacific Avenue from Liberty Avenue to Coral Street, Fredricka Way from Friendship Avenue to Coral Street, South Atlantic Avenue from Friendship Avenue to Coral Street, Friendship Avenue from South Pacific Avenue to South Atlantic Avenue and Harriet Street from South Pacific Avenue to South Atlantic Avenue.
That motorized vehicle parking shall be restricted to a two (2) hour time limit 7:00 a. m. -- 7:00 p. m., Monday through Friday except where existing parking restrictions may exist and vehicles displaying a valid Area "BB" residential permit or visitor's pass and;
that residential parking permits be sold only to legal residents or a person who owns or leases commercial property and is actively engaged in a business on property fronting or abutting the above mentioned streets;
That visitors' pass usage shall be limited to no more then five consecutive weekdays on the same vehicle;
