Title
Resolution approving execution of a Deed by and between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and the City of Pittsburgh for the sale of Disposition Parcel 22B, Block 2-D, Lot 256, in the 3rd Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, in Redevelopment Area No. 31 - Crawford and Centre Avenue - Council District No. 6 (Freedom Corner Monument).
 
Body
Whereas, pursuant to Ordinance No. 255, effective April 8, 1977, and in the manner prescribed by the Urban Redevelopment Law, Act of May 24, 1945, P.L. 991, as amended, the Redevelopment Proposal for Redevelopment Area No. 31 in the 2nd, 3rd and 5th Wards of the City of Pittsburgh was approved; and
 
Whereas, the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh has requested authorization to execute a Deed by and between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and the City of Pittsburgh, in connection with the sale of Disposition Parcel 22B, Block 2-D, Lot 256, for $1.00, said property being located in Redevelopment Area No. 31 in the 3rd Ward of the City of Pittsburgh; and
 
Whereas, the City of Pittsburgh has requested authorization to accept the aforementioned Deed; and
 
Whereas, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh believes that the proposed conveyance is in the best interest of the City of Pittsburgh and desires to give its approval in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Redevelopment Law.
 
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.  That execution of a Deed by and between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and the City of Pittsburgh in connection with the sale of Disposition Parcel 22B, Block 2-D, Lot 256, for $1.00, said property being located in the 3rd Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, be and the same is hereby approved, said conveyance being in conformity with the Redevelopment Proposal for Redevelopment Area No. 31 in the 3rd Ward of the City of Pittsburgh.
 
Section 2.        That acceptance of the aforementioned Deed by the City of Pittsburgh is hereby approved.
