Resolution amending Resolution #145, effective March 17, 2000, entitled "PROVIDING for a lease(s) and/or sublease(s) of space located within the City of Pittsburgh's 20th Ward, from the lessor, Scientific-Pittsburgh for the purpose of establishing offices for the Department of Public Safety, Police Bureau, Weed & Seed Task Force effective March 1, 2000 for a two (2) year period and renewable annually thereafter and providing for the payment thereof at a cost not to exceed Seven Hundred Seventy Five Dollars ($775.00) per month, Nine Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($9,300.00) per year. Be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Resolution #145, effective March 17, 2000, which presently reads:
The Mayor and the Director of the Department of General Services, on behalf of the Department of Public Safety and the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a lease, leases, sublease and/or subleases with Scientific-Pittsburgh, lessor, for approximately 600 square feet of office space located within the City of Pittsburgh's 20th Ward for the purpose of establishing offices for the Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Police, Weed & Seed Task Force made effective March 1, 2000 and renewed annually thereafter, at a cost not to exceed Fourteen Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($14,400.00) subject to and contingent upon the annual appropriation by City Council, chargeable to and payable from Account 561950, Fund 2416, Organization Code 232300, Sub-class 600, Budget Year 2000.
Is Hereby amended to read as follows:
The Mayor and the Director of the Department of General Services, on behalf of the Department of Public Safety, are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a lease and/or sublease with Scientific-Pittsburgh, lessor, for approximately 864 square feet of office space within the 20th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, for the purpose of establishing offices for the Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Police, Weed & Seed Task Force made effective September 1, 2001 and renewable annually until November 1, 2004 thereafter at a cost not to exceed Seven Hundred Seventy Five Dollars ($775.00) per month, Nine Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($9,300.00) per year together with a lump sum payment of Eight Hundred Fifty Eight Dollars and Fourteen Cents ($858.14) for improvements, retroactive from July 1, 2001 subject to and contingent upon the annual appropriation of City Council, chargeable to and payable from Account 561950, Fund 2416, Organization Code 232300, Sub-class 600, Budget Year 2002. Said lease, sublease, amendment to lease and/or sublease shall be in a form approved by the City Solicitor and shall contain such terms and conditions for the protection of the City as said Solicitor may require.
