Resolution amending Resolution 52 of 2021 providing for an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement between the City of Pittsburgh (“City”) and the Borough of Wilkinsburg (“Borough”) for the collection of a portion of the Borough's municipal waste by the City for a term of five (5) years, by extending the ending date by six (6) months to June 30, 2026, and increasing the amount by Five Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty-Five Dollars and Seventy-Five Cents ($539,785.75) for a new cost not to exceed Five Million Seventy-Three Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-Nine Dollars and Fifty-One Cents ($5,073,239.51) Five Million Six Hundred Thirteen Thousand Twenty-Five Dollars and Twenty-Six Cents ($5,613,025.26).

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Resolution 52 of 2021 entitled “Resolution providing for an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement between the City of Pittsburgh (“City”) and the Borough of Wilkinsburg (“Borough”) for the collection of a portion of the Borough's municipal waste by the City for a term of five (5) years, commencing January 1, 2021, and ending December 31, 2025.” is hereby amended as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement with the Borough of Wilkinsburg providing for the collection of a portion of the Borough’s municipal waste for a term of five (5) years and six (6) months commencing January 1, 2021, and ending June 30, 2026. The latest terms of the agreement will remain in effect.
Section 2. The City shall only be authorized to collect municipal waste from residential properties and apartment buildings containing less than six units located within the Borough. The Borough shall make monthly reimbursement payments to the City to cover the City's expenses in providing these services.
Section 3. Said Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement shall be in a form approved by the City Solicitor and shall, in addition to the terms and conditions specified herein, contain other terms and conditions that may be in the best interest of the City.
