Resolution amending Resolution 276 of 2020 in order to authorize an increase of payment to the United States Army Corps of Engineers for certain remediation work to flood control devices along Saw Mill Run, at an amount not to exceed Six Hundred Eleven Thousand Four Hundred Sixty-Eighty Dollars and Seventy-Nine Cents ($611,468.79), representing an increase of Two Hundred Ninety-One Thousand Four Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars and Seventy-Nine ($291,468.79) with such increase to be paid through issuance of a warrant.

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh entered into a cooperation agreement with the United States Army Corps of Engineers to provide for necessary remediation work to the flood control project along Saw Mill Run (the “Project”); and 

 

WHEREAS, the circumstances of the Project have necessitated an increase in contribution from the City of Pittsburgh; and

 

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh wishes to now issue this increase to the United States Army Corps of Engineers as a warrant, pursuant to and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the previously executed cooperation agreement.

 

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Resolution 276 of 2020 entitled, “Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into an agreement or agreements with the United States Army Corp of Engineers for purposes of cooperation toward certain remediation work to flood control devices along Saw Mill Run; including authorization to expend fund at an amount not to exceed three hundred and twenty thousand dollars ($320,000.00) toward said project[,]” is hereby amended as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to enter into an agreement or agreements with the United States Army Corps of Engineers for purposes of cooperation toward certain remediation work necessary to flood control devices along Saw Mill Run. The City’s contribution to the work shall be at an amount not to exceed three hundred and twenty thousand dollars ($320,000.00) appropriated from the following code accounts: 6000900119.54207.00 ($276,513.64); 4030090016.54207.00 ($43,486.36).

 

Section 2.                     The Mayor is hereby authorized to issue and the City Controller to countersign a warrant in favor of United States Army Corps of Engineers, in the amount of Two Hundred Ninety-One Thousand Four Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars and Seventy-Nine ($291,468.79), for increased contributions toward certain remediation work to flood control devices along Saw Mill Run pursuant to the terms and conditions of the cooperation agreement entered into between the City of Pittsburgh and Army Corps of Engineers, chargeable to and payable from the following account:_ 4030090016.54207.00 ($15,930.48); 6000900119.54207.00 ($40.73); 6030090018.54207.00 ($257,715.43); 6000900421.54207.00 ($17,782.15).
