Title

Resolution amending Resolution No. 711 of 2022 further amending Resolution No. 767 of 2018 authorizing the Mayor and the Director of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections to enter into an Amended Agreement or Agreements with D'Appolonia for On-Call Emergency Geotechnical Services including assessments, evaluations, land remediation plans, and expert testimony of properties subject to active life safety code enforcement violations, by increasing the approved amount by TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS ($20,000.00) for an amended total cost not to exceed THREE HUNDRED SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS ($360,000.00), over 3 years.

 

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections are hereby authorized to enter into an Amended Agreement or Agreements with D’Appolonia for on-call emergency geotechnical services. The term of the contract Agreement(s) shall be a multiyear contract due to the nature of the work, with funds subject to annual appropriation by City Council in future years, by increasing the approved amount by TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS ($20,000.00) for an amended total cost not-to-exceed Three Hundred and Forty Thousand Dollars ($340,000) THREE HUNDRED SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS ($360,000.00).

 

Section 2.                     Funds shall be allocated to PLI during the normal annual budget process based on anticipated need, chargeable to and payable from appropriated and eligible Capital line items, in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred and Forty Thousand Dollars ($340,000) THREE HUNDRED SIXTY DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS ($360,000).  PLI and the Mayor are hereby authorized to encumber and use eligible Capital funds to issue, and the City Controller to countersign on, said Capital funds in payment thereof. Payment for the additional year of such Amended Agreement(s) shall be made from the following accounts:

Section 3:                     Said Amended Agreement(s) shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form.
