WHEREAS, David Passmore began his career with the City of Pittsburgh in 2007 as Webmaster for what is now known as the Department of Innovation and Performance; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Passmore has been instrumental in many projects throughout his tenure at the City, including the creation of CIMS, a database that drives the content of the City's website, and makes it easier for employees to interact with and update their department websites; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Passmore is dedicated to public service, and has been committed to helping his fellow citizens interact and communicate with municipal government; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Passmore is very active in his personal life, from coaching his children Rhiannon and Tiernan in soccer, utilizing his neighborhood asset of Highland Park every day, or playing snare drum in his "pop-up" marching band, Colonel Eagleburger's Highstepping Goodtime Band; and,
WHERAS, Mr. Passmore continues his passion of providing access to data and information for City residents through his involvement in Steel City Codefest-a city-wide app building event that brings together coders, designers, and innovation enthusiasts to create apps for local government, citizens, and community organizations; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Passmore and his wife, Aimee, have lived in Friendship, the Mexican War Streets, and currently Highland Park, and love Pittsburgh because of its affordability and many opportunities for children; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hearby recognize David Passmore for his 7 years of dedicated service to the City of Pittsburgh; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hearby declare, Monday, April 14, 2014 to be "David Passmore Day" in the City of Pittsburgh
