Title

Resolution accepting the locations of proposed right-of-ways for the extension of  (4) four city streets; S. 26th Street, S. 27th Street, 28th Street and Sidney Street from Hot Metal Street to S. 26th Street, for the LTV Southside Works Redevelopment Project, in the 16th Ward, 3rd Council District of the City of Pittsburgh.

 

Body

WHEREAS, it appears by the petition and affidavit on file in the office of the City Clerk that all owners of the property fronting or abutting on S. 26th Street, S. 27th Street, 28th Street and Sidney Street from Hot Metal Street to S. 26th Street for the LTV Southside Works Redevelopment Project (Exhibit A) in the 16th Ward, 3rd Council District of the City of Pittsburgh to enact a Resolution for the acceptance of the Locations of the Proposed above mentioned right-of-ways.

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     That accepting the locations of proposed (right-of-way only), owned by the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh; that

 

South 26th Street:

Beginning at a point, said point being on the northerly line of East Carson Street, approximately 359.09 feet east of the easterly line of the existing South 25th Street: thence in a northerly direction N19º 44' 17"E, 784.85 feet to a point, thence in an easterly direction S70º 15' 43" E, 60.00 feet to a point on the south line of the right-of-way of CSX Transportation Inc.: thence in a southerly direction, through proposed Sidney Street, S19º 44' 17"W, 784.90 feet to a point on the northerly line of East Carson Street: thence in a westerly direction along the northerly line of East Carson Street, N70º 13' 22"W, 60.00 to a point, the place of beginning.  Containing a total area of 47,092.77 Square Feet or 1.081 Acres.  

 

South 27th Street:

Beginning at point, said point being on the northerly line of East Carson Street, approximately 753.38 feet east of the easterly line of the existing South 25th Street: thence in a northerly direction through proposed Sidney Street, N41º 05' 43"E, 712.77 feet to a point on the southerly CSX Transportation, Inc. right-of-way line: thence along the southerly CSX Transportation, Inc. right-of-way line along a curve to the right having a radius of 2,833.93 feet an arc length of 75.10 feet to a point: thence through proposed Sidney Street in a southerly direction S41º 05' 43"W, 713.88 feet to a point on the northerly line of East Carson Street: thence along the northerly line of East Carson Street in a westerly direction the following three courses and distances; N48º 55' 22"W, 37.37 feet; N19º 47' 50"E, 11.19 feet; N70º 13' 22"W, 36.02 feet to a point, the place of beginning.  Containing a total area of 53,253.38 Square Feet or 1.223 Acres.

 

                     South 28th Street

Beginning at a point, said point being on the northerly line of East Carson Street, approximately 389.77 feet west of the westerly line of the existing Hot Metal Street: thence along the northerly line of East Carson Street in a westerly direction N48º 55' 22"W, 60.00 feet to a point on the northerly line of East Carson Street; thence in a northerly direction through proposed Sidney Street, N41º 05'43"E, 714.32 feet to a point on the southerly CSX Transportation, Inc. right-of-way line: thence the southerly CSX Transportation, Inc. right-of-way line, S48º 37' 51"E, 60.00 feet to a point: thence proposed Sidney Street in a southerly direction S41º 05' 43"W, 714.01 feet to a point, the place of beginning.  Containing a total area of 42,849.41 Square feet or 0.984 Acres. 

 

                     Sidney Street

Beginning at a point, said point being on the westerly line of Hot Metal Street, approximately 352.16 feet north of the northerly line of existing East Carson Street: thence through proposed South 28th Street in a westerly direction, N48º 54' 17"W, 702.22 feet to a point: thence by a curve to the left having a radius of 267.50 feet an arc length of 99.71 feet to a point: thence through proposed South 27th Street and proposed South 26th Street in a westerly direction, N70º 15' 43"W, 642.29 feet to a point on the westerly line of proposed South 26th Street: thence along the westerly line of proposed South 26th Street in a northerly direction, N19º 44' 17"E, 65.00 feet to a point; thence through proposed  South 26th Street and proposed South 27th Street in an easterly direction, S70º 15' 43"E, 642.29 feet to a point: thence by a curve to the right, having a radius of 332.50 feet an arc length of 123.94 feet to a point: thence through proposed South 28th Street in an easterly direction, S48º 54' 17"E, 702.22 feet to a point on the westerly line of Hot Metal Street: thence along the westerly line of Hot Metal Street in a southerly direction S41º 05 43"W, 65.00 feet to a point on the westerly line of Hot Metal Street, the place of beginning.  Containing a total area of 94,660.70 Square Feet or 2.173 Acres.

 

Total square footage of above locations is 237,856 square feet and the same are hereby accepted, said locations being described above and in Exhibit A, on file in the Department of Public Works.

 

Section 2.                     The dedication of proposed streetscape will follow upon completion and Engineering and Construction and Public Works inspection sign-off.

 

                     This is a Resolution accepting the locations of proposed rights-of-way and is not accepting the dedication of them.  Anything in the resolution inconsistent with this amendment is superceded.
