Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor to accept on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, a grant from the Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board in the amount of $50,000.00, and authorizing agreement or agreements with qualified agencies for project coordination, and other related services including transfer of salaries, supply purchases, travel reimbursement, and other expenses in connection with the Multiple Pathways to Education Project.

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh has been awarded a supplemental grant by the Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board for conducting the Multiple Pathways to Education Project partnership with the Pittsburgh Public School District, Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board, and U.S. Department of Labor.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor is authorized to accept on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, a grant from the Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board, for the purpose of successfully executing the Multiple Pathways to Education Project (Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board Project Number : YF-16308-07-60-A-42). The Grant Agreement shall be approved as to form and substance by the City Solicitor and monies shall be deposited into the Youth Policy Trust Fund, Account Number 450500; Fund 2481; Organization 210000; Subclass 600; Budget Year 2007.
Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to enter into professional service Agreement or Agreements with qualified agencies for project coordination, and other related services including transfer of salaries, supply purchases, travel reimbursement, and other expenses in connection with the Multiple Pathways to Education Project (Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board Project Number : YF-16308-07-60-A-42) that are required for the successful execution , in an amount not to exceed fifty thousand dollars chargeable to and payable from the Youth Policy Trust Fund, Account Number 526125; Fund 2481; Organization 210000; Subclass 600; Budget Year 2007. Said agreement shall be in form approved by the City Solicitor and shall contain such other terms and conditions as may be in the best interest of the youth of the City and are required by the Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board. All payments to be made under this agreement are subject to and contingent upon the receipt by the City of the grant money for the Multiple Pathways to Education Project.
