Title
Resolution endorsing the implementation of the Pittsburgh Climate Action Plan Version 2.0 prepared by the Pittsburgh Climate Initiative conveners and contributors and authorizing and instructing the City Solicitor and/or City Clerk to prepare for enactment, adoption and execution of any Ordinances, Resolutions, Agreements and other documents necessary for the implementation of the Pittsburgh Climate Action Plan Version 2.0.

Body
WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh Climate Initiative is comprised of regional leaders in government, education, labor, non-profits, and business; and

WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh Climate Initiative is convened by the Green Building Alliance and the Pennsylvania Environmental Council in partnership with the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Sustainable Pittsburgh, and Citizens for Pennsylvania's Future; and

WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh Climate Action Plan Version 2.0 builds upon the capacity and knowledge that the Pittsburgh Climate Initiative has gained in its first two years of work and aims to expand and focus Pittsburgh's strategies to reach its citywide greenhouse gas reduction goal of 20% below 2003 levels by 2023; and

WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh Climate Action Plan Version 2.0 outlines specific strategies for government, community, business, and higher education to reduce greenhouse gas emissions; and

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh is committed to endorsing the concepts, principles and opportunities outlined in the Climate Action Plan Version 2.0.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. The Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby endorses the recommendations of the Pittsburgh Climate Action Plan Version 2.0.

Section 2. The City Clerk and/or City Solicitor are hereby authorized and instructed to prepare for adoption any necessary related ordinances, resolutions, agreements and other documents and revisions to ordinances, resolutions, agreements and other documents...
